Walk with friends

We were able to meet up with our friends Lyndsey and Kyleigh today and get in a 2.54 mi walk.  I wanted to go more but they had to get back by a certain time.  No biggie though!  We enjoyed the company and the playdate afterwards!

As the boys and I were almost home I let Zack get out to burn off some much needed energy.

Jim comes home tomorrow and I’m not sure how much walking I’ll get in.  :/  I was really hoping to hit my walking goal this month but I don’t think that I will.  I think I’ll keep the same amount of miles for next month and just push harder.  I know that we’ll be going out to eat more than we do when he’s gone so I’m going to try my hardest to make smart choices.

I’m starting to get frustrated at my weight loss.  Yes,  I know that almost 14 lbs is an accomplishment and I’m grateful and thankful.  BUT it’s been 13 weeks!!!  I’ve walked 81 miles since I started this journey.  I’ve started to eat breakfast, ate healthier meals and increased my water intake.  I feel as though I should be losing more than what I am.  Any suggestions on how to step it up?

  1. I think you're doing great.

My only suggestion would be to look at how you might be able to stay on track when Jim is home. I know it's hard because you're out and about and going out since you have such little time with him. Maybe suggest some restaurant options where you can choose a healthier entree but Jim can get something he likes?

Maybe I am totally off -- are you seeing a pattern of gaining during the time he's home?

The only other suggestion I can think of is to change up your workouts. Swim, dance, Zumba, Shred, buy dumbbells and resistance bands for some resistance/strength training, etc.
