Week 8: Results

I am grinning from ear to ear! I lost 1.8 pounds this week!!!! I am so excited that I've hit my first goal. I am rewarding myself with an evening out with a friend tomorrow night. My Mom asked me if I feel any different and I don't really yet, which surprises me after 13.8 lbs. She says she can see a different in my face but I'm not so sure. It doesn't matter to me though, I'm happy that I'm still losing and have lost as much as I have. Here's to hoping that next week is another successful week.

Proud moment

Jim and Zack wanted ice cream for a dessert tonight. I scooped each of them up a bowl and put the ice cream away...without making myself a bowl!!!!!!!! I didn't even think twice about it until well into the evening. I was darn proud that I passed up ice cream, that never happens!!! Later on I enjoyed my Healthy Choice 1 pt fudge bar and did not regret my choice.

(Now, I'm going to be really ticked tomorrow if I gain and I passed up ice cream. lol)

Week 7: Results

This week was a busy week so I finally got over to my parent's house yesterday to weigh in. I think I say this every week, but I was a little nervous weighing in. We had a BBQ on Wednesday and then ate out twice this week. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that I lost .8 pounds! I was hoping for at least a pound so I could hit my first goal, 12 lbs. But hey, that's ok...I'm not complaining!!!

So, now only 57 more pounds to go. Seems like a long ways away but that's why I've created smaller more achievable goals. I'm hoping once I start exercising more regularly then it will kick it up a bit.

Week 6: Results

I lost 1 pound this week! I was actually shocked because of my big loss last week and I didn't write down what I ate at all this week. eek! So I'm proud of myself. I am one pound away from my 5% goal!

Week 5: Results

I wasn't sure how I'd do this week. I've been really bad about journaling lately although I keep a mental note in my head. If we were having unhealthy foods I just made sure I kept my portions small. Well, apparently it paid off. I weighed in this afternoon (hopefully that doesn't screw me up since I normally weigh in the evening) and had lost 2.6 lbs!!!! I have officially lost 10 lbs and it feels great!! Only two more pounds and I've reached my 5% goal. Good bye 240's!

Week 4:Results

First I have a correction to make to my previous post. I did not loose .8 last week, I lost .4 lbs.

I was really hoping to get past the 240 mark today but unfortunately, I didn't. I am pleased with my loss though. I weighed in to find that I lost .8 lbs. (for real this time...lol) That means I've lost 7.4 lbs and only 4.6 lbs to go until my 5% goal.


I was hoping that being my heaviest that I'd loose more than I have been each week. But that is not happening. I am really not complaining though, I am losing and that's all that counts. "Slow and steady, wins the race," as Zack's show Super Why says. I've always heard that the slower you loose it the easier it will be to keep it off. Let's hope "they" are right.

I haven't started a workout routine yet which I know will help speed up my weight loss. I have been challenged by my best friend to do the America on the Move challenge. I plan to buy a new pedometer as I know mine is inacurate. Then I will join Sarah on her Iditarod race. Keep up the good work, Sarah!
