Weekly Weigh In: Week 16

I weighed in this morning and am happy to report that I lost 2 lbs!  I was hoping for more but I will gladly  take the loss!!!  I have been SO busy that I haven't had much time to focus on my fitness.  I have been trying to walk and/or jog during Zack's cross country since it's an easy way to get activity in.  Otherwise I get it while I'm (constantly) on the go.  My eating habits have been better since Jim left.  However, lately at night I've been craving salty foods.  Maybe it's because Shark Week is about to arrive?  Speaking of Shark Week, I'm hoping doesn't give me another gain on the scale.  I'm getting discouraged again and I hate that.  It also seems that my body plateaus at 220 or so and I hate that!  I think once I get past that number it will be ok but it's always hard!!!

Xcountry walk

Ryan was in quite the mood today and didn't want to walk by himself or play on the playground.  I spent most of xcountry carrying him or walking holding his hand, which is not an easy task.  I did end up getting in a 2 mile walk which felt good though.

Cross country practice

Zack is participating in cross country at his school.  He practices Tues, Wed and Thur every week until the end of October.  At practice the kids run/jog/walk for over an hour and try to get in as many laps as they can.  They have two scheduled meets (Oct 2nd and 16th) and then an all city meet that you have to qualify for.  Zack does pretty good at practice.  He has a few running partners and he is in constant motion the whole practice.  (Some kids try and sit out)  Ryan comes with too and the first few practices he ran with the school kids.  Today he tried running with me and I ended up walking most of it because holding on to his 3 year old hand is hard to do while jogging.  I love the exercise I get and what it teaches the kids!

We run laps around the school field.  Two laps is a mile and that's how much Zack will have to run in the meets but for practices they do more.  For some reason my app stopped and I had to restart it.

Weekly weigh in: week 15

Well, I knew it would be bad, I just didn't know how bad.  When Monday came around I was so thankful that it wasn't my weigh in day anymore.  I felt like I had gained 10 lbs and didn't even get on the scale because I was scared.  It was VERY hard to eat healthy this weekend.  We stayed in a small town and didn't have a kitchen for most of the weekend.  We were in the car a lot!  So almost every meal was eaten out.  Plus I wanted to enjoy the weekend away with my husband and not worry about food.  Montana is beautiful and we had a great time!!!!

Tuesday was my birthday so we celebrated at a Mexican place on Monday night.   Then Tuesday evening my mom made beef stroganoff for my birthday dinner.  So I knew that the scale was not going to be my friend!

So I weighed in today!  I woke up and the scale said 222.4 which I was pleasantly surprised to see.  However, a few hours later when I weighed in their scale read more.  I gained 3.8 lbs which really isn't all that bad and I'm not upset about it.  The weekend was worth it.

Now Jim is in Texas for work for a while and I'm able to get back on track.  It is so much easier when he's gone.  So I'm hoping to make up for what I gained next week and hopefully more!

I got this little gem when I went to the meeting.  I'm pretty sure I'm on week 15 but I'll take it!!!

Weekly Weigh In: Week 14

I maintained and I'm ok with that!!!  Now I am a little nervous for what next week brings.  Tomorrow is my husband and I's 10 year wedding anniversary and we're headed to Montana for the weekend.  I can't wait!  I am not going to stress about food but try to make the best choices that I can.  Wish me luck!

Rest day

Today was supposed to be a rest day for me however I decided to push mow the front and backyard.  Our front yard is a piece of cake really.  The backyard is large and gets very long so its' usually mowed with the riding mower.  However, today it was my bright idea to push mow it in 91* weather?!  I got about half way before the mower ran out of gas.  I actually don't mind push mowing it (in cooler weather) because it gives me more steps and I love to see the end results with the lines.  But for now I'll leave it for my husband to finish with the riding mower when he gets home.

**UPDATE** Jim filled up the push lawn mower and I finished the rest of the yard so I could reach my daily steps goal.  :)

9/11 Memorial Virtual 5k

On Saturday I participated in the 9/11 Memorial Virtual 5k.  It was cool out and overcast but it was a great morning for a run.  As I ran I thought about that day 12 years ago.  I found out at my dentist office just as I sat in the chair.  On the way to the dentist I didnt' hear anything because I had been listening to a CD from the Mark Wills concert that I had attended the night before.  When the dental assistant told me the news I couldn't believe it and really couldn't understand it.  I had no idea what the twin towers were at my young age of 20.  It's amazing how quickly you learn after tragedy hits!  We listened to the news on the overhead speakers and I was in disbelief!  When I got to work at the CU they already had a TV out and we all listened and watched as we attempted to work that day.  It is a day I will never forget!!

Knew I had a flag shirt for today and when I went to grab it it just happened to be from 2001.  Perfect!!!

My heart still breaks for those people and families that were directly affected that day.  As I ran I kept thinking how my right hip hurt but you know what, those people suffered much more hurt than I did and I can keep pushing on.

Clouds to the left

and sunshine and clouds to the right

It had stormed over night and the path was still wet which made for a tricky run
It wasn't my best time but it wasn't bad either (very inconsistent though).  I was honored to take part in this event!

PTO jog

Tonight was the first PTO meeting of the school year.  After I finished dinner (Taco Tuesday) I was starting to clean up and the boys started wrestling and arguing.  It was 40 min til the start of the meeting and I made the quick decision to jog to the meeting instead of driving.  We've walked it in the past and I thought it as 1.5 miles which I could easily make in 35 min.  I grabbed a water bottle and put on my shoes and off I went!

I do not like running with a water bottle but it was hot and I had no choice.  It throws me all off!  I did a walk/jog the whole way there.  I heard the one mile announcement on my phone and I knew that the school was more than 1.5 miles from my house.  Turns out it is exactly 2 miles!  I made it in just under 27 minutes.  It was hot out and the sun was beating on my back the whole way but it wasn't too bad.  I wish I hadn't ate dinner before and I wish I had put on a tank top for it but it was ok!  OH...and I ran in shorts!!!!

Those poor PTO members who had to sit next to me for the hour after I arrived!  LOL!!!

I also started my squats back up and I can FEEL the burn!!!!  Love it!

Weekly Weigh In: Week 13

Yesterday was too busy with my brother's surgery and I was beyond crabby so I didn't go weigh in.  So after I dropped Zack off at school this morning Ryan and I went.  I am happy to report that I lost 3.4 lbs!  So I lost last week's weight and then some.  Phew!  3.8 lbs until my next goal of 10% and only .8 lbs away from 20 lbs GONE!

I was stressing it!!!  I had a stomach flu bug/food poisoning on Friday morning that left me dehydrated and feeling icky until Saturday.  So I slowly got back to eating food then and drinking.  Then Saturday I had a horrible migraine too.  But it may have helped me this weekend?  It's always hard staying on track while camping.  However, this time we did a lot more 4 wheeling and that helped out a lot...kept the food and beer out of my mouth!

While we were at WW today I decided to try a meeting with Ryan.  He was excited but couldn't keep quiet long enough.  So we stayed for maybe 10 minutes before we left.  He did pretty good but it was packed and I was afraid we were bugging other people.

I'm so thankful to have supportive people in my life.  After each weigh in I text my BFF and weight loss buddy, Sarah and she is always so supportive whether I gain or lose.  I also text my mom and husband.  Today when I texted Jim this is what I got.  So thankful!  He came with me to shop for our camping trip this time and was actually supportive and helped me find lower PP items.  Every little bit counts!

All over the place post!

I had a bunch typed up and I have no idea where it went.  GRRRRR

Today was Zack's first day of 1st grade!  *Sniff*  Where does the time go?!?!!?  The excitement got to everyone and we were out of bed early.  I hate that summer has come to an end.  :(

After we came home Ryan and I decided to go for a walk around the park.  I jogged once but still don't feel like I have my mojo back.  Ryan was a trooper for being teased by the park 4 times as we walked by.  So after 2 miles I decided to quit so he could play.  It was in the low 80's but overcast so it was MUGGY!!!

For lunch I had a WW Spicy chicken sandwich.  Have you tried them?  I'm not sure that they're worth the 5 PP.  But I paired it with some cucumbers and seems to be ok.  I'd almost rather sacrifice the 12 PP and have a Wendy's version though, way bigger and better tasting.
I snapped this picture today and realized how desperately I need new sports bras...I swear I'm wearing one.  Hello cleavage!  I received my Moving.Comfort ones in the mail a few weeks ago.  I was disappointed when I got them though.  not because of the bras but because I ordered the wrong size!  I ordered a 38C and there is no way I'm fitting into that size soon.  So they'll have to be goal bras for now.  Ugh!

I signed up for this challenge today and already have my first entry for today's workout.  Score!  Who's with me?

Speaking of challenges and winning gift cards.  I still have not heard if I won our Biggest Loser FB challenge.  I have asked a couple of times and no response.  I just private messaged her so we'll see what she says.
