Pumpkin Pacer 5k

I picked Lyndsey up and headed to Deer Park.  We stopped to pick her mom up and be there a bit before race time.  It was COLD but thankfully there was no signs of rain!  I enjoyed watching the kids do their run in their costumes and they seemed to love it too!

Lyndsey and I wore little headbands that I had for our costumes.  Some people went all out which was cool.  I told Lyndsey I think that every 5k should be a costume race!  :)  We walked the whole course because of Lyndsey's knee and it sure felt like we walked faster than we did.  We finished in 51 minutes which seems impossible to me but I'm not going to argue it.  We had fun and that's all that mattered!

Thanks for the nice morning Lyndsey!

Tonight I used my devil headband again and went to a friend's costume party.  I didn't want to spend a fortune on a costume I probably wouldn't wear again.  So I got an idea online, made my shirt, put on my headband and viola...I was a deviled egg!!!
Happy Halloween!

Cupcake Classic 5k

I participated in Run with Jess' Cupcake Classic Virtual 5k this morning.  It was a chilly 39* morning but it was beautiful!  I completed C25K W2D2 and then continued on to make up the 3.1 miles.  Jim and Ryan took Zack to school so I headed out when they did.  It was so nice to run by myself with Pandora blasting on my phone.  I've discovered some workout stations on Pandora, thanks to Pinterest. I think I've come to terms with fall arriving.  I love all the fall colors that we have in the PNW, my run was beautiful!

Party In Pink 2012

This morning my mom and I attended the Party In Pink Zumbathon.  It was 2 hours of Zumba with 20+ Zumba instructors held at a local casino.  The money raised went to the Susan G Komen foundation, half of the funds stay locally and half go national.  I went in honor of my MIL who is a breast cancer survivor and went through a double mastectomy and reconstruction in January.

We had a blast!  Neither my mom or myself won any prizes but we still had fun!  It did not feel like we did Zumba for 2 hours at all.  I wish I could do it every weekend!
