Weekly Weigh In

Today's weigh in was hopeful!  I didn't stress it and actually didn't even step on the scale before leaving the house, which usually doesn't happen.  I was happy to see that I had lost 2 lbs!  I was kinda bummed that I was .2 lbs away from my 20 lbs again but I didn't dwell on it. 

I was surprised but happy.  We went to dinner on Thursday but like I said, I was careful with my meal.  Then we went out to dinner on Friday and had beers.  But I did get back on track mostly Mon-Thur.  I'm just hoping it doesn't sneak up on me next week. 

Like I've said, there are going to be lots of changes in our household soon.  I did NOT get that job at the CU but she said I'm at the top of her list for anything that comes up.  I've applied for many others.  It's getting beyond stressful!

I am also thinking about canceling my WW membership.  I will still follow the plan and continue to weigh in on Thursdays.  But it is one cost that I can for sure cut out.   Going to think about it a bit more and then decide. 

We're on day 54 of my BBM Challenge and I'm still hanging in there and liking it!

Weekly Weigh In/ Day 47

I weighed in this morning and was up .4 lbs.  Not a big deal but I'm kicking myself because I was down more yesterday.  I hate how it fluctuates day to day.  However, thinking back I had beer two days this week and ate out a couple of times.  That's probably why.  Not a big deal though.

today is day 47 of the challenge and I've finished the workout.  It was 4 workouts and you do them three times.  On the last set of lunges my left leg gave out on 16/20 and I fell right to my butt.  Thank goodness I was at home and not at a gym.  I decided to not finish the last 4 and rest until the next exercise.  All is good!  I pushed myself though and am now a sweaty mess!!

Lots of changes happening in our household right now.  My husband is switching careers and will be starting with the railroad on the 3rd.  Unfortunately, he has to take a pay cut in order to get his foot in the door.  It's a significant cut so that means that Momma has to get a job!

I have enjoyed my 7 years at home with my boys and I really don't want to return to work just yet.  Our plan was for me to return when our youngest is in school full time.  However, this opportunity came up and we jumped on it. 

I had an interview today with a local credit union which meant I had to miss weigh in, I will weigh in tomorrow.  My mom and I went shopping last night for a new shirt.  I had pants (which are getting big on me!), I just wanted something new for the interview.  I found this cute polka dot top on clearance at Kohl's.  I was pleased to see that all of the 2x shirts were too large now and so the one I bought was a 1x (and I almost think I could've gotten away with a XL).  That was a good feeling!  Maybe someday soon I'll be able to shop in the cute clothes section, where everything doesn't look old ladyish?! 

I felt good going into the interview.  I got the boys situated and then got to the CU early.  The interview was with the HR gal that I'd had a phone interview with and then the branch manager and assistant branch manager.  It was a little intimidating having three people in there.  I think it went ok but I really have no idea!  The hours aren't totally ideal but they will work.  I should hear back by next Friday at the latest. 

 To celebrate Jim's new job we decided to go to Red.Robin for dinner.  I had a hard time choosing from the menu because we don't go there that often.  I'm definitely more comfortable at Chili's.  ;)  However, I do like that they offer the "lettuce wrap it" option to their burgers.  So I got the Simply Grilled Chicken burger without the bun.  I ate my steak fries and also enjoyed a beer.  I calculated it all on their website and it was a total of 18 PP, not too shabby for all of that!  I am still full!
I am extremely nervous and stressed out about becoming a (PT) working Mom.  I was telling my BFF that I think that the stress of all of this might be helping my weight loss?!  I'm afraid I won't be able to balance it all.  Switching jobs and/or finding jobs is so much harder when you have kids!  The idea of daycare makes me nervous.  But juggling it all is what has me stressed out!!!  Any advice from my working mom friends would be incredibly appreciated!

BBM Challenge HALF WAY Mark! 3rd Fit test

Today marks our half way mark with the BBM Challenge.  I am extremely proud of myself for sticking with it consistently for 45 days!  I'm sure I couldn't have done it without the support of my FB group.  I feel great and am starting to see changes which helps my motivation. 

Today was also the 3rd fit test.  I didn't feel all that strong this morning which was kind of a bummer.  Here are results from all three fit tests, today's are in red.

Weekly Weigh In

I weighed in today at 221.6 lbs which is a 1.8 lb loss from last week!  I "cheated" a bit and wore shorts at weigh in instead of capris though.  My reason was to balance it out since this week is Shark Week, so really it's not cheating right?!  Hoping for another loss next week!

Weekly weigh In

Today's weigh in was good and I hope for more like today.  I lost 2.8 lbs!  With the inches that I lost and now the weight loss I feel more confident in the challenge I'm doing.  It is working. 

I still have 3 more lbs to go to get back to where I was before Christmas.  Hoping to see another loss next week!

BBM Challenge Day 30 Check in...

According to my scale I am down .6 lbs (225 lbs) but I'm going to see on Thursday morning.  On Friday evening I stepped on the scale and saw 222.8lbs!  I will not get discouraged.  I know my body is changing.   Plus, why did she have to plan a weigh in 2 days after the Super Bowl anyway?!  It seems cruel, especially since our Seahawks WON!!!!!!!  I could've done a lot worse on Sunday and was actually a bit proud but what I did eat had lots of sodium.

Speaking of changing, here are my measurements which I'm pretty excited about!  (Here were my first measurements.)  I took progress pictures but wish I would've done my first ones with clothes on so I could share them.  I did them in a bra and underwear instead.  I took some with clothes on today so hopefully you'll be able to notice a change by the 60 and 90 check ins.

Total= 8.5 inches lost!!!!

I really am loving this challenge.  I love that I can do these at home and they don't take more than 30 min.   I am incredibly proud of myself for sticking with it for the full 30 days so far, not missing a single one.  I did switch cardio and strength around last week but I completed both.  I really believe that starting the group was great for accountability!

I'm a little nervous about what happens after I finish the challenge.  My body will be used to working out 6 days a week so I'm going to have to keep it up.  I'm hoping she'll do another one once we finish.  I've also thought about doing her meal plan but I'm not sure.  I've seen some of the stuff that's posted and not all of it looks appetizing.
