New app

I found this new app and downloaded it.  I haven't had to time to test all of it out yet but it looks cool.   It's Jillian Michael.s' Slim Down.  It gives you workouts to do, has a food tracker, recipes and a planner.  When I put in my weight and info this is what it told me

EEK!  That means I have over 100lbs to lose!

Felt good!

We dropped Jim off at the airport and decided to head to my parents to go to Z.umba.  I haven't been in forever and have been missing it.  I've decided that I won't be able to go each week since Zack's now in school everyday and we always get home late on Z.umba nights.  But it felt good to go tonight.

Zack asked for a picture of all of us.  lol
Decided to wear one of my new skirts, it was was kinda fun!

Birthday

Happy birthday to ME!

I started this morning with a therapy appointment which I actually enjoy.  Afterwards I stopped at a discount store that gets a lot of Cost.co's overstock or damaged items.  I found these cute workout skirts and went out on a limb and bought them without trying them on.  They feel great and are kinda fun!  The most fun part is the price though!!!

Grey skirt was 90% off = $1!
Pink skirt was 75% off = $4.80!
We decided to take a drive to look at a house for sale in the country.  Not for us but fun to look.  I'm not sure I'm able to be a country girl.  There was a little snake on the ground that Zack pointed out and I FREAKED and kept my eye out for it the whole time.  Ick!  We then paid a visit to our neighbor who is developing his property in the woods.  Ryan fell asleep but Zack enjoyed riding on his tractor.

Dinner was chicken fettuccine alfredo from Cost.co and much to my surprise (and happiness) all four of us ate it!  Normally I make two separate meals but this, this was awesome!  I also finished a bottle of wine.  Hey, it was my birthday.  ok?!

It was a great day spent with all three of my guys!

Roundabout 5k

I picked Lyndsey up and headed to Deer Park for the Roundabout 5k bright and early.  Jim kept the boys at home so it was just us girls and it was nice!!!  Before the race I met up with my friends Staci and Jolene.  Staci was running in memory of a friend's husband, Jolene was running in honor of her dad and I was walking in memory of my Grandpa (although I failed on making a sign).

Lyndsey and I

Myself, Jolene and Staci

The weather was absolutely beautiful for a race!  We headed out and I noticed that it was a different route than last year.  We probably got about 10 min into the walk when I realized I didn't turn on my MapMy.Run app.  Oops!  We talked the entire way while walking, no jogging/running this time.  About 45 min into the walk and realized that we weren't even close to the finish line which we should've been done by then.  I checked my app and we were past 3.1 miles already!  We crossed the finish line at 1:14:39 and it turns out we did FIVE miles!

After the race we found out the volunteers had us go the wrong way which added 2 extra miles.  It was ok though, I loved walking and chatting with Lyndsey!  We got our shirts after and I LOVE them this year!!  Last year they were white and way too see through for my liking.

Color.Vibe 2012

I signed up with a friend a few weeks ago to do the Color.Vibe this morning.  I woke up early, earlier than I do on school days (WTH?!) and got dressed in my white shirt.  I dropped the boys off at my friend, Lyndsey's house, picked up Jolene and we were off to the community college!

We ran into my SIL, Cat on our way in.  She explained to us that we need a before picture so we did just that.  We walked right up not knowing that there was a line a block long!  Oops!!!  We then got in line and waited for our turn to go.

There were a handful of color stations along the route.  We ran through the first two and didn't get much color.  So on the third one, blue, we decided to go a little slower and walk close to the people throwing the color.  That was the ticket, we were covered!!!  Poor Jolene looked like a smurfette.  LOL!

Loved the costumes...we ran with Angels!

A hike up the hill to the finish line

The route was beautiful!  The weather was great too.  I just wished I was wearing a tank top because it started to get warm at the end.  Oh and to wear a sports bra next time!  Seriously, I was clearly not thinking this morning as I got dressed!!!  Lesson learned.

When we got to the finish we grabbed some more color (colored cornstarch) and added some color to ourselves.  Every so often they'd count down and everyone would throw color in the air.  It was pretty cool.  We grooved to some tunes as we waited in line to get our after photo taken.  Can't wait to see the official pictures.

It was so much fun and I loved that the registration fee went to a great cause.  Thanks for the great company, Jolene!  I already can't wait for next year.

Once I got home and saw the full effect!

My hair felt so gross!

It even soaked through my bra

The shirt!
