A day of rest

I know that Sundays are supposed to be a day of rest but I decided today was my Sunday.  I had lunch with a friend for her birthday.  I had a taco salad which was not good and so not worth it!  I had chips with bean dip but on the plus side, I avoided ordering pop and stuck with water.  Which is kinda huge for me.  I’m a sucker for fountain pop but am trying to cut it out, I don’t want the empty calories.  After lunch we hit up a local park to let the boys burn off some energy.  I chased Ryan around a bit but the only sweat I had was from our first 80 degree day.  Ryan took a late nap when we got home and I mowed the lawn, only using the push mower on the front.  I was wiped out come diner time.  I had 2 pieces of left over pizza and then we walked to the park.  I didn’t feel like getting a walk in and I feel guilty now.  Is that normal?  Now as I sit here and type this, my left leg is cramping terribly.  Dang, should’ve walked!

  1. Do NOT feel guilty! You have just made a major change to your lifestyle. Let your body and mind catch up with each other. (and let me catch up in this challenge, gheesh!)

But really, you're doing awesome. I bet you burn more calories than you think by chasing your little cuties around and mowing that lawn in the heat. Maybe on these days of rest you can make it a point to do something that doesn't feel like activity but really is (like mowing the lawn, cleaning house, swimming, walking to and from the park, washing the car, weeding the flower beds, etc) so that you don't feel bad.
