C25K W2 D1

We had plans to take Jims’ parent’s motorcycle out for a ride today for our anniversary (since he’ll miss it).  Since I knew we’d be gone all day I set my alarm for 6:30am and bit the bullet and hit the pavement bright and early (with no make up and morning breath).  Honestly, it felt GREAT to get out there early and without kids!!!  Running without pushing a stroller is so much easier!  I even jogged up a small hill and wasn’t completely winded!

Since I didn’t have the stroller to use my rock system I put a ring on my finger and moved it over a finger once I was done with a jog and walk.  Worked like a charm!

This new week was a bit challenging but not too terribly bad.  I noticed that I’d look at the clock while jogging at exactly one minute hoping it was 1.5 min.  I also thought that the 2 min walk was too much but I’m sticking to it.  They know way better than I do!  Smile

I signed up for C25K online and was pleased to see that I burned 403 calories!

But then I logged into my mapmyrun and it said I only burned 149?!  I thought that seemed like it wasn’t enough, which is the reason I want some kind of tracker.

So now I’m not sure which one to go by?!

  1. Wow it is weird what a difference the two programs are showing. I can't offer any advice on that since I do not own any cool fancy gadgets :( but if you end of buying one, let me know your review and maybe I can splurge for it. As far as the running, good job pushing yourself up the hill. Have you tried NOT looking at your watch when you run?

  2. Just for a comparison -- my bodybugg says I burn about 350 calories doing C25K.
